Litigation Legal Assistant
Onsite
A great legal assistant doesn’t just keep things moving. They keep everything from falling apart.
If juggling court deadlines, wrangling calendars, managing filings, tracking documents, coordinating attorneys, and somehow making it all look effortless sounds familiar, keep reading.
Our client, a highly respected litigation boutique in Century City, is seeking a Temp-to-Hire Litigation Legal Assistant to support a team of 2-3 attorneys handling sophisticated litigation matters. This is the kind of role where experience matters, initiative is appreciated, and nobody needs to explain how to create a TOA at 4:45 p.m. on a Friday.
The position offers a steady Monday-Friday schedule (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 37.5-hour workweek) and the opportunity to join a collaborative, professional team where legal support staff is viewed as an essential part of the practice.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Drafting, formatting, reviewing, and revising pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, budgets, and other legal documents
- Preparing court filings in California state and federal courts, including e-filing

- Managing calendars, deadlines, hearings, meetings, travel, and conferences

- Maintaining electronic and physical case files
- Organizing documents, exhibits, binders, and litigation materials
- Assisting with probate and business litigation matters
- Keeping attorneys organized, informed, and one step ahead
What Makes You a Fit
- At least 5 years of legal secretary or legal assistant experience
- Strong California state and federal litigation background
- Knowledge of court rules, filing procedures, and litigation deadlines
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without breaking a sweat
- Appellate experience is a plus

Why This Opportunity Stands Out
Some firms treat legal assistants as support staff. This boutique treats them as the people who keep the practice running.
The attorneys value teamwork, professionalism, and experienced staff who know how to navigate a busy litigation environment. For the right person, this temporary assignment can become a long-term home with a highly regarded Century City litigation team.
If color-coded calendars, perfectly formatted pleadings, and hearing deadlines give you a strange sense of satisfaction, this may be exactly where those superpowers belong.
